We are firm believers that towels have one mission: to get you dry. But, let’s be honest, we all know that some towels do that better than others. We take dryness quite seriously and have spent two years designing just one product, the best classic bath towel, ever. What we set out to do was to create a towel that will delight you. We looked at all the reasons towels were the worst and made one that is better. Simply put, it’s the best towel we could dream up and we are just getting started.
For every towel sold, Havly will donate $1 to DonorsChoose.org to fund Special Education projects that specifically benefit children with Autism in districts around the country where more than half of the students are from low income households. For every Zissou Blue Classic Towel sold, Havly will donate $2 to support special needs classrooms.
We ask you to kick in another $1 (or $3, $5 or $10) at check-out. It may seem like a small amount, but we have done our homework and it turns out, you don’t need a lot of money to make a big impact.
We love DonorsChoose.org for their mission in “connecting the public to public schools” but also for their transparency. Their data shows that out of $838 million dollars raised since 2002, only 5% funded "Special Education" projects, 66% of which mentioned "Autism". With the average cost of a funded project being around $538, we realized that we can help fund special needs classroom projects and support special needs educators, where they most need help, with modest amounts of money.
